SUNY Niagara held a 19-17 lead at the end of the first quarter before the host Mustangs shot 11-of-20 (55%) from the field and posted 27 points in the second quarter for a 44-32 halftime lead. The Thunderwolves were then outscored 41-23 in the second half and Monroe closed the game on a 17-4 run in the final 8 minutes, 6 seconds.
