SUNY Niagara blows past FLCC

SUNY Niagara had six players in double figures as it rolled past host Finger Lakes Community College, 99-31, in non-conference action on Tuesday night.

The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 15 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, improved to 9-0 overall.

Freshman Mackenzie Owens led the charge with 19 points and seven rebounds. Sophomore Rachel Kamrowski was just behind with 18 points and six boards.

Also for the Wolves, freshman Ava Bull had 11 points and eight rebounds and sophomore Krystal Smith stuffed the stat sheet with 11 points, six rebounds, six steals and six assists.

Freshman Isabella Karabetsos contributed 10 points, four steals and four assists and sophomore Makayla Thomas chipped in 10 points and six boards.

The Wolfpack forced 34 turnovers, held a 56-32 edge in rebounding and outscored the host Lakers 33-5 in the second quarter.

SUNY Niagara returns to the court at 5 p.m. Wed. Dec. 4 for another non-conference matchup at Corning Community College.
