Thunderwolves roll past Villa Maria

Niagara County Community College led by as many as 28 in the first half en route to an 81-57 win over host Villa Maria College in non-conference action Saturday afternoon. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 13 in the latest NJCAA Div. II rankings, improve to 19-1 overall.

Sophomore forward Albanellys Perez again led the way with 17 points and 15 rebounds, while freshmen wings Taliyah Hopkins and Peyton Butts each netted 11 points. Sophomore center Tamia Jones chipped in with 10 points and nine boards.

Next up for NCCC is its Western New York Athletic Conference opener set for 5:30 p.m. Thursday against Genesee CC.
