Thunderwolves win twice; improve to 5-0

SUNY Niagara went on the road and won a pair of UNYCHL games this past weekend. The Thunderwolves, who have out-scored their opponents 35-15, are now 5-0 overall on the young season. The Wolves return home at 7 p.m. Sat. Nov. 2 for their first-ever date with Redeemer (Ont.) University.

SUNY Niagara 7, Canisius 4

Mike Naccarato scored two goals to lead the Thunderwolves to the win on Saturday night at the Nichols Ice Arena. Other goal scorers for SUNY Niagara included: Kevin Carle, Noah Williams, Arron Comeau, Gavin Cerrillo and Anthony Miller.

SUNY Niagara 9, Mercyhurst 3

Nick Simon lit the lamp twice as the Wolfpack earned the win late Sunday evening at the Mercyhurst Ice Arena. Josh Kaczor, Ryan Haynes, Quinn Walton, Brenden Dewey, Cerrillo, Naccarato and Miller had one goal apiece in the victory.
