SUNY Niagara took another four-game series as it swept Jamestown Community College in a pair of two-game sets at Diethrick Park Saturday and then at Sal Maglie Stadium Sunday.

On Saturday, SUNY Niagara won the first game, 6-5, in eight innings, and 6-0 in seven innings. On Sunday, the Thunderwolves recorded a 9-1 win in seven innings in Game One and an 11-0 win in five innings in Game Two to wrap Tailgate Day.

SUNY Niagara is 33-3 overall and remains at the top of the NJCAA Region III West standings at 13-0. The Thunderwolves have now won 92 of their last 100 contests since a doubleheader with Corning Community College on May 4, 2024 and are 386-76 over the last 10 seasons (since 2017).

The victories at home Sunday extended SUNY Niagara’s win streak inside Sal Maglie Stadium. Since making the venue its home field in 2024, the Thunderwolves are 42-1 at the “Sal” and have won 35 straight since a 4-0 loss to Erie Community College on April 15, 2024.

SUNY Niagara has also won 33 of its last 34 meetings with Jamestown Community College since 2017. Since an 8-7 loss in Game One of a doubleheader on April 24, 2018, the Thunderwolves have won 26 consecutive meetings against the Jayhawks.

SUNY Niagara continues its NJCAA Region III slate and resumes WNYAC action with a four-game series against long-time rival Erie Community College on Thursday and Saturday. The Thunderwolves travel to Williamsville for a doubleheader at 2 p.m. Thursday. The back half of the four-game series starts at 1 p.m. Sunday at Sal Maglie Stadium and will air on WLVL.com
