NCCC beats MNE, wins WNYAC title

Niagara County Community College earned four victories via pinfall en route to a 36-18 Region III Western New York Athletic Conference victory over visiting Mercyhurst North East on Wednesday night.

The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 10 in the latest NJCAA poll, improve to 11-3 in dual meets this season. The victory also clinched the regular-season WNYAC title for NCCC.

Those that won by pinfall included: John Reina (141), Cody McGregor (149), Alex Kelly (174) and Marshall Taylor (285).

Kyle McGregor (133) added an 8-0 major decision, Zach Colgan (157) won a tight 3-2 battle with Brandon Ingram and Anthony Liberatore (184) picked up a 16-1 technical fall victory.
