Niagara County Community College freshman Callum Manderson was the school's top finisher at this past week's NJCAA Div. III Championship hosted by Jamestown CC at Chautauqua Golf Club. Manderson carded rounds of 79, 86, 81 and 83 to finish at 41-over-par and in 58th place. He was also honored as the National Long Drive Champion after bombing a driver 325 yards off the tee.
Classmate Stone Skeeter finished in a tie for 70th after recording rounds of 84, 82, 85 and 86. He was 49-over-par. Sophomore Will Hoffman, a two-time National qualifier, ended up in a tie for 74th (82-89-85-83, 51-over-par).
"It was a fun week of golf," NCCC head coach Matt Oleski said. "The course was in great shape and played very difficult. I am proud of our three guys and how they battled. This was a nice experience for them. All three guys had a great year."
